updates on earthquake

We have a national state of emergency now as announced by the Prime Minister. Further updates also available on the website of the Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management.
I've heard from some people I know in Chch by now and they are OK. I hope the others will get in touch soon.
Here are photos from Chch after the earthquake. Photo 24 is the Provincial Chambers Building where I was interviewing a research participant for my thesis. I have just heard back from him and thank goodness he and his loved ones are OK, but their house is wrecked.

We just had another big earthquake in Christchurch!

So as I said, all is well in Wgtn. I just hope that friends in Chch are OK.... :(
